Previous webinar on starting a food truck association: 70 minutes cost: $10 – Video below.
The National Food Truck Association is launching a national initiative to support existing food truck associations and help in the formation of new associations. We will support your efforts to start a regional association by providing model bylaws and assistance with your 501(c)6 paperwork. We will also help with advocacy and fundraising strategies.
Food Truck advocacy can be a frustrating endeavor. Old regulations, no regulations or over burdensome regulations create a regulatory patchwork that makes you want to pull your hair out. Advocacy starts with understanding and education. In order to address regulatory issues you must first understand the regulations in place. 然而, understanding the regulations does not guarantee that an operator or an association will be able to make positive changes in the industry’s favor.
The National Food Truck Association will help you assess and address your current regulatory hurdles. Using the knowledge learned from multiple regional associations, our goal is to provide you with solid information that can help you create an advantageous regulatory environment for your local mobile vendors. To start the process of starting an Association, please organize five to ten food trucks currently operating in you region. We’ll set up a conference call with your group and get the process started.
Our inaugural board of directors consist of eight regional Association representatives. Matt Geller from the SoCal Mobile Food Vendors Association,Robert Mitchell from the Philly Mobile Food Association, Lori Johnson from the Washington State Food Truck Association, Doug Povich from the District Maryland Virginia Food Truck Association, John C. Levy from the Minnesota Food Truck Association, John Hepner from the New Jersey Food Truck Association and Willy Dely from the Maryland Mobile Food Vendors Association. Together the board has years of experience dealing with mobile vending issues. Robert Mitchell from the Philly Mobile Food Association,
